Textpattern 4.3.0 was released on 2010/11/04. Among other things this version introduced vastly improved image tags, finally allowing you to create elaborate image galleries with just core Txp tags.
I wanted to see to what extent these new tags could replace the many image plugins (including my own) that have, until now, been Txp mainstays. This site shows a couple of basic possibilities, really just scratching the surface of what you can do with the new tags.
Currently there are two demos, “Galleries” and “Photoblog”. Each starts with template code and explanation, then continues to several sample pages. “Et cetera” has some additional info about Txp image tags.
This demo is currently running Txp version 4.8.8, a stripped-down installation with all templating via native Txp tags.
